Hometrack Consumer appoints director

Hometrack, the UK housing information business, has appointed Julia Grinham as director of Hometrack Consumer.

She joins the company from UpMyStreet.com, where she has been running the business for the past three years.

During her tenure she successfully took the website into profitability, increasing the user base to over a million visitors per month and attracting significant new advertising and e-commerce revenue through a major site re-launch.

Prior to UpMyStreet.com, Grinham worked at Reuters in various marketing and sales roles both in London and Singapore.

As director of the Hometrack consumer website, her primary role is to develop the consumer business.

This includes defining strategy, driving marketing initiatives, expanding the affiliate network and developing the website to meet consumer needs.

Giles Mackay, chairman of Hometrack, says: Julia is an experienced new media manager with expertise in business development both in the consumer and business to business arenas and is a great asset to Hometracks growing team.

Julias appointment demonstrates our commitment to expanding the business offering outside our main commercial markets and a greater focus on our consumer proposition.
