Trying times

We all know the old saying “if at first you don’t succeed try, try, try again” but it seems that for one determined job seeker it was more a case of try another 999 times.

Marketing professional Jeff Scott recently returned from living abroad and applied for an amazing 1,000 jobs before landing a role. The recession means companies are more likely to be laying people off than taking them on and the jobs Scott applied for were inundated with applicants.

Mole thinks this is all well and good but you’d be hard pressed to find 100 jobs in the mortgage sector to apply for at the moment, let alone 1,000.
