HML to manage Scarborough Mortgage Services

Scarborough Mortgage Services is to be managed by Homeloan Management following the merger of the Scarborough and Skipton building societies this week.

Clients of Scarborough Mortgage Services will continue to be serviced by existing Scarborough staff, with assets to be migrated to the HML platform at a later date.

Brian Brodie, managing director of HML, says: “This integration is a positive development for both companies.

“It gives Scarborough Mortgage Services a stronger partner which is already investing heavily in upgrading its business infrastructure.

“It also provides HML with many new skills and some system components that will enhance our offering.”

Brodie adds that for clients with Scarborough Mortgage Services it is business as usual.

He says: “As HML continues to grow we will have greater firepower to invest, and our clients will benefit from further initiatives over the course of 2009 and 2010.

“This is positive for clients of both businesses.”
