That’s it then…the end of an era as BM and Mortgage Express pull their 100% plus range of mortgage products. I think that just leave Dunfermline Building Society in Scotland and Scottish Widows on a professional basis that offers something similar.

Let’s face it, the reality is that it is not such a bad thing that this type of product has been suspended for now. Despite some obvious advantages, (see previous posts below), and the negative effect it will have on first time buyers, given the environment at present this seems to be the most sensible option.

I do think, However, that this is just a suspension until the market starts turning and we could see these types of products back before the turn of the year even. It will be interesting to see who is the first brave lender to come back into this market – let the betting commence.
