Nationwide’s group distribution director Matthew Wyles is leaving the building society on 3 December following a restructure.
The mutual is combining product development with distribution and the development of the brand to form a new directorate called group retail, led by group product and marketing director Chris Rhodes.
Group intermediary sales managing director Ian Andrew will transfer his reporting line to people, customer and communication group director Graeme Hughes within Rhodes’ new division with immediate effect.
Nationwide chief executive Graham Beale says: “Matthew’s contribution has not just been in the retail arena but, more generally, he has supported me and the rest of the executive team, helping to develop and transform Nationwide into what it is today.”
Wyles says: “I’m really proud of the way that Nationwide has not only weathered the storm but has emerged fitter and stronger.”
Wyles was an executive director of Portman before it merged with Nationwide in 2007.
