Saffron Walden & Essex raises 1,100 for Children in Need

Pantomime dames helped Saffron Walden Herts & Essex raise more than 1,100 for the Children in Need appeal.

Richard Bolton, chief executive at Saffron and Andy Golding, sales and marketing director, got into the spirit of the day wearing ugly sister costumes, and serving coffee and cakes to members of staff.

The ugly sisters later featured alongside fellow executive members in a charity auction that helped head office and the Saffron branch to help raise the money.

Bolton says: “Most of our branches took part in Children in Need through a number of events and I was more than happy to play my part by volunteering for auction. Although the auction has closed, I still dont know what the winning bidders have in store for me, hopefully nothing too taxing.”
