MPPI has moved on since Burgess launched assault

From Paul Violet

I applaud Thomas Reeh for expressing what most of us thought when reading Simon Burgess’ latest ill-informed assault on his favourite topic (Mortgage Strategy January 15)

Like Reeh, we too provide a facility that can be cancelled at any time with a pro rata refund and it is offered to clients who would be most at risk without such a policy.

The space this magazine gives to the Burgess’ biased writings is becoming wearisome. Surely he must have something else to write about.

Since he started his assault the mortgage payment protection insurance market has moved on, with great improvements to the product, its cover and its costings.

Yes, PPI is another topic and there is some scope for criticism there, but please stop writing the same article about MPPI dressed up in different words week after week, ad nauseum.
