Hearnden adopts My Mortgage Direct as AR

Hearnden Associates has adopted My Mortgage Direct as an appointed representative following its departure from network Sesame.

On January 2 2007, Hearnden Associates dissolved its ties with Sesame and became directly regulated by the Financial Services Authority, allowing the firm to offer clients a wider range of services and secure exclusive deals from lenders.

Cath Hearnden, director of both Hearnden Associates and My Mortgage Direct, says: “After six productive years with Sesame we felt the time had come to be able to operate with greater freedom and progress the excellent relationships we have built with many organisations”.

Founded in 2000 by Cath Hearnden, Hearnden Associates provides independent advice sourced from across the marketplace on all aspects of personal finance including retirement planning, inheritance tax planning, investments, savings and insurance.

Hearnden says: “By being able to offer independent financial advice alongside independent mortgage advice, My Mortgage Direct together with Hearnden Associates can provide clients with a holistic approach to financial planning.

“Crucially, this means we are able to assess all aspects of a client’s financial situation, present and projected, and build a bespoke plan that fits their finances to their life and not the other way round.

“Direct regulation means we are able to link the two aspects of our business and make suggestions to mortgage borrowers that they may not have previously considered, and vice versa.

“A great mortgage deal on its own is good but accompanied by money-saving advice on pensions or investments, it’s even better.”
