The Saffron Walden Herts and Essex launches website

The Saffron Walden Herts and Essex has launched a website to make its products and services even more accessible to its customers based all over the country as well those using its 12 branches in the East of England.

The website was created after consultation with the members to see exactly what they wanted out of a site. Panels of members were also called upon to give it a test drive and make sure it is easy to use even for those with little previous internet knowledge.

The site walks customers through the process of applying for mortgages, loans, savings accounts and insurance in an easy to understand layout incorporating calculators so customers can discover how much they can afford to borrow.

Alongside the information, customers will find the forms they need to manage their accounts and complete guides to home buying and mortgage servicing fees.

Andy Golding, sales and marketing director at Saffron Walden Herts and Essex, says: “As a mutual, we believe in consulting our members on new products and services and it was essential to get their input in creating the website.

“Everyone at the society is proud of the site, which gives our customers all over the country even better access to our services.

“The design of the site has proved popular with our members who have tested it with more than 85% of those involved in the trial saying that the site was well designed and easy to use. Their comments were incredibly helpful and there were some great suggestions which we have utilised in the sites design.

“This site is just the first step, and we plan to develop the site still further to provide full online access to our services in the future.”
