GMAC-CM Europe last week announced a host of UK promotions and appointments.

Kevin Cooper is promoted to managing director of real estate finance, Martin Wheeler becomes executive director of real estate finance and Gerry Mackenzie joins as director of real estate finance.

James A Dalton, president of European operations for GMAC-CM Europe, says: “The promotion of Kevin and Martin recognises their achievements in growing our UK business from a greenfield operation and represents our commitment to continued expansion in the UK market.

“We are also delighted to welcome Gerry Mackenzie to GMAC-CM Europe. Gerry is an experienced commercial real estate professional who will bring further strength and depth to the UK team.”

Cooper says: “Since the entry of our parent GMAC Commercial Holding Corp to the UK market in September 2002, we have executed more than £1.8bn in transactions. We are delighted with the support given to us by our clients. Furthermore, we believe that the commercial property focus of GMAC-CH, the depth and strength of our ultimate parent, General Motors and the quality of our team are the key drivers of our success to date.

“Our business model is simple: enable real estate investment and development transactions with sound business plans and excellent management through the provision of competitive senior debt, mezzanine and equity capital. We have ambitious plans for the future and the team is looking forward to leveraging the strengths of GMAC-CH and growing the business in 2004 and beyond.”
