A couple lived the high life for a weekend in London after winning a competition run by The Mortgage Works. Brian Matthews from Stoke-on-Trent and his wife were treated to an all expenses paid weekend in the capital with tickets to the West End musical Chicago.
In the Star Performer Name Game, Matthews correctly guessed a number of famous faces and linked them to their original name before it was changed to their celebrity name such as Harry Webb becoming Cliff Richard. One of the questions also asked him to identify that Sun Bank had recently changed its name to The Mortgage Works.
Matthews says: “The whole weekend was a marvellous experience and we would like to send our appreciation for the planning and arranging of the itinerary. May I also request that if you decide to hold a further competition, can you please make sure that I win again!”
Angelique De Vroomen, marketing communications manager for The Mortgage Works, says: “We launched the competition in order to capture more information about our client base and thought a name association game would enforce our new name and add a bit of fun! I'm glad that Mr and Mrs Matthews had an enjoyable weekend in London although I cannot promise they will win again!”
