Changes include the creation of three divisions within the society – finance, operations and development.
Kim Rebecchi, general manager at L&H, has had her role extended to include responsibility for the intermediary sales force as well as branches and direct sales through the call centre.
Rebecchi says: “We do 50% of our lending to intermediaries and with the changes that regulation will bring, lenders are demanding speedy IT systems. Business in our call centre has been growing over the past few years but we still have good advisers in our branches and there will always be people who want to do business face-to-face.”
David Pickersgill will continue in his position as deputy chief executive with responsibility for financial matters. Peter Hill is promoted to oversee the operations area and David Furness has been appointed as the executive in charge of development. He currently works as regional director for Safeway and will join L&H on November 1.
There have also been changes to the senior management team. Louise Walker has been promoted to be the general manager responsible for strategic planning, corporate finance and the project office. Head of legal services and compliance Andrew Greenwood has been promoted to general manager.
Daniel Jones, spokesman for L&H says: “The intermediary market has an important role in the future of L&H and we want to strengthen our position.”
