Millennium Insurance wins e-commence awards

Millennium Insurance, the specialist general insurance broker, has won the best end-to-end integration category in the West Midlands regional Department of Trade and Industry sponsored e-commerce awards.

Its Business Partner Trading Centre was also awarded top spot this week for its innovative use of e commerce to create a general insurance B2B trading platform for mortgage brokers.

The business will now be judged at national level, with the award ceremony taking place on October 6 2005.

Steve Clowes, managing director of Millennium, says: “This trading platform has seen Millennium move away from traditional paper and CD based quote systems to a fully integrated online trading platform, now used by over 3,000 mortgage brokers across the UK to transact general insurance.

“Uniquely designed specifically for mortgage brokers, it handles a range of household, payment protection and pure protection insurance online.

“The platform provides the adviser with a full suite of services for quotes, online underwriting and application submission and tracking.

“It also creates personalised Demands and Needs Statements for each client to assist brokers in meeting FSA regulations.

“For a mortgage broker wanting to offer competitive general insurance products, have online facilities available 24/7 and have all aspects of its FSA general insurance compliance taken care of, we believe the Millennium Insurance Trading Centre is at the leading edge of the market.”
