Compliance.co.uk merges with Compliance Consultants

Compliance.co.uk, the largest independent compliance consultancy group in the UK, has extended its position with the purchase of Compliance Consultants.

The acquisition makes the Compliance.co.uk group the most significant player in the UK compliance industry today with 12 full time consultants and three research staff.

Simon Collins, managing director of Cheshire-based Compliance Consultants, will join the board of Compliance.co.uk, the holding company that already includes Leicester-based Compliance Solutions.

The enlarged Compliance.co.uk group will be the largest consultants in the IFA, mortgage and general insurance sectors.

Gary Dixon, chief executive of Compliance.co.uk, says: “Compliance Consultants experience in the IFA, mortgage, investment management, institutional and professional firms sectors dovetails with our very strong presence in the general insurance and mortgage broking sectors.

“I have worked with Simon Collins on the governing body of the Association of Professional Compliance Consultants for some time now and have already developed a close working relationship with him.

“We are both extremely excited about the benefits this merger will bring to everyone and look forward to further expansion and other developments in the future.

“Traditionally, the compliance advisory market has often been approached by way of using contractors over whom the consultancy firm has less control.

“This increases the quality control risk, causes lack of staff continuity for clients and increases the supervision levels required to achieve the same level of advice.

“The way forward now is very clearly to concentrate upon quality and only work with employed staff with significant levels of practical experience.

“Our consultants have a total of over 142 years experience in compliance and, in the environment within which compliance advisors operate at present, this is essential.”

Collins says: “For some time now we have been looking to strengthen our position in the market by joining forces with another well established company. Compliance.co.uk shares our values of integrity, loyalty and responsibility, and together we will continue to provide the high level of support that our customers have enjoyed over the last 18 years.”
