UCB cuts rates across self-cert and full status range

UCB Home Loans is to cut 0.15% from its range of residential self-cert and full status fixed rate Mortgages from March 29.

In the self-cert range, its two-year flexible fixed will be available at 5.84%, its three-year flexible fixed at 5.79% and its five-year flexible fixed at 5.74%.

For full status, its two-year flexible fixed will be available at 5.74% and its three-year flexible fixed at 5.69%.

Keith Astill, managing director of UCB Home Loans, says: “The market is demonstrating a strong preference for competitively priced fixed rates at the moment, mainly driven by expectations of another Bank of England base rate increase in the near future.

“As a leading specialist lender, we strive to provide our intermediaries with a wide range of products to choose from based on their customers needs, as demonstrated by our recent launch into the adverse market.

“With arrangement fees of just £595 on these new these fixed rates and a free valuation on selected products, we’re committed to providing the market with competitive product options.”
