Briscoe was previously the chief executive of the Local Government Association, where he led the merger of the three former associations to create the LGA, the single voice of local government in England and Wales.

Briscoe has been appointed to assist C-NLIS in supporting local authorities in England and Wales in their move from manual to electronic provision of property information services.
This will be instrumental in helping local authorities meet the new challenges presented by the introduction of Home Information Packs.

“His extensive experience as a public sector advisor working with central and local government will be integral to C-NLIS’ goal to ensure that all local authorities convert to electronic property searches, which are carried out to a fully comprehensive and accurate professional standard.”
