Alexander Hall’s football triumph

Alexander Hall romped to victory in The Mortgage Works’ football tournament last week.

The London-based brokerage thrashed packager Square Mile Mortgage Finance 5-1 in a replay of the final of TMW’s last football tournament which was held two years ago to coincide with Euro 2004.

Ten teams took part this year including Savills Private Finance, Hamptons Mortgages, The Mortgage Times Group and The Mortgage Works. Alexander Hall retained its crown, with this year’s tournament coinciding with the World Cup. The tournament raised money for the Joseph Weld Hospice in Dorchester and the Donna Louise Trust Children’s Hospice in Stoke, Staffordshire.

Jason Clark-Ward, sales manager at Alexander Hall and captain of the winning team, says: “A few penalty decisions went our way but we worked hard and our quality shone through.”

All packagers will be regulated
