Coventry unveils Godiva

Coventry Building Society is to launch an intermediary lender focusing on the specialist mortgage market.

Godiva Mortgages will launch on March 22, with Colin Franklin, head of sales for Coventry Building Society, appointed as managing director of the new subsidiary.

Godiva Mortgages will offer a range of products for the credit impaired, self-cert, buy-to-let and 100%-plus loan to value markets. The Coventry says the launch of Godiva Mortgages will enable it to focus on the intermediary market and allow further scope for growth.

David Stewart, chief executive of Coventry Building Society, says: “We know that intermediaries are keen to transact a wider range of mortgages with us.”
