Mortgages PLC appoints new head of credit

Mortgages PLC has announced the appointment of Jim McCallum as head of credit.

McCallum has been with Mortgages PLC for two and a half years, where he has been acting head of credit for the last eight months. Prior to this he worked for 34 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland where, for 23 years, he had responsibility for various aspects of credit &#45 ranging from personal and small to medium business credit through to large corporate relationships.

He was also responsible for corporate leasing and hire purchase as well as formulating credit policy. McCallum is based in Mortgages plc&#39s Glasgow Operations Centre.

He replaces Guy Todd who left to join Infinity Mortgages last year.

Trevor Pothecary, group chief executive at Mortgages PLC, says: &#34Jim has many years&#39 experience as a senior cedit manager and I am delighted to be able to make his position permanent as head of credit at Mortgages PLC.&#34
