Loving the onesie

Staff at The Source went onesie crazy last week for Red Nose Day as they got dressed up in their favourite all-in-one pyjama outfits, as you can see in this week’s picture caption.

Over £177 was raised for the charity by The Source with 10 staff members dressing up in onesies and others raising money by baking cakes and doing the company’s weekly quiz.

The Source agency administrator Jodie Shepherd, who wore a Welsh flag inspired onesie, says that while wearing the fashion phenomenon was relaxing on the one hand, drawbacks include it being extremely hot.

“I walked to work and I had a few people beeping their horns,” he told Mole.

So for anyone thinking on the bandwagon, ditching their suit and tie and donning the all-in-one jim-jams, you have been warned.

Virgin Money has been giving out some incredible prizes since October last year through its Best of Virgin campaign which it launched to coincide with its official rebranding from Northern Rock. And this month’s winner has scooped a luxury weekend for two in London with VIP passes for the London Marathon weekend.

PLZ Finance Mortgage Management Company’s Rousseau Khan has been named the winner and on race day next month will have VIP entry to the viewing gallery on the Mall as the runners come in as well as entry to the after-party in Planet Hollywood, with complimentary food and drink. Even better, he won’t have to run the race!

Under the scheme Virgin Money asks brokers one question a month on how likely they would be to recommend the business, and some of the prizes include a week on Richard Branson’s private island Necker and upper class tickets on Virgin Atlantic to New York.

Mole will definitely be giving his five-penny worth next month as the prize looks an especially good one – a four day break at Ulusaba, Richard Branson’s private game reserve in South Africa.

Lifesearch’s Tom Baigrie: It is time for a protection trade body

It seems frankly bathetic to write about anything else when the savers of Cyprus seem likely to have their money stolen by order of the ‘Troika’ charged with saving the Euro. It might be that many of the foreign savers using Cypriot banks came by their money in ways they wouldn’t want fully investigated, but […]

Is your IT system as smart as it could be?

As well as the advice we give our customers, fundamentally we are all in the business of information. Information technology is something we all rely on, but are we getting what we need from our IT? Making sure […]
