Select & Protect appoints head of sales

Select & Protect has appointed Paul Firkins as head of sales.

Firkins was previously with Equity Insurance Group where he was responsible for developing and bringing to market first4cover, a general insurance platform aimed at the mortgage lender and intermediary market.

His role prior to this was divisional director at Heath Lambert Insurance Services, responsible for building society and mortgage lender schemes.

The appointment is with immediate effect.

“He has 18 years insurance experience, many within the personal lines industry and specifically within the mortgage lender and intermediary market. His appointment demonstrates our continued focus to develop and expand our proposition further.

“Alongside this Paul will be responsible for assessing opportunities in new markets as our sales proposition grows.

“He has a wide knowledge of the insurance and financial sector and his varied experience makes him ideally suited to our business plans for the future. I’m confident his appointment will make a valuable contribution to the growth and development of Select & Protect.”
