Reasons for nomination: It’s refreshing to deal with Alex as he is a BDM who truly understands us and the proposition we offer our brokers. When Alex speaks to us regarding criteria, he concentrates on the points relevant to the brokers we deal with and the type of business we do.

Because we specialise in the placement of difficult and unusual cases, our knowledge of lenders’ niche criteria is often tested and it is reassuring to know that Alex is able to answer our in-depth queries. After all, having access to this knowledge is the primary reason brokers use our packaging service.

BDM SAYS: It’s great to be nominated for this honour and nice to have clients who appreciate the professional relationships I work to create. I work for a people business and try to be straightforward and honest. I know my clients are aware that I will always try to help out. Equally, if I have to say no I realise it’s important to be honest and say no quickly.

Adverse Solutions deals with clients with some fairly challenging criteria requirements and it’s essential that I am in a position to answer any queries. I’m aware that the act-ions of BDMs can often influence the relationships brokers have with clients. In some ways, I feel BDMs are the custodians of brokers’ professional reputations so there is a tremendous responsibility on me to be as prompt and professional as possible.
