Hometrack has appointed Richard Donnell to join the Hometrack Board as Director of Research.
Donnell was previously head of residential research at Savills. His primary role is to develop research services for the property and financial markets utilising Hometrack’s extensive databases of market information.
He will also be preparing regular research reports and commentary on key aspects of the housing market.
Giles Mackay, chairman of Hometrack, says: “We are tremendously pleased to have Richard on the team. At Savills he established himself as the leading researcher in residential property.
Coupling his skills with Hometrack’s unrivalled database will allow us to achieve our goal as the leading provider of not only computer aided valuations to the mortgage lending industry, but also property research to the wider property and governmental markets.”
Donnell says: “Housing is the largest asset class in the UK yet it is a significantly under-researched market.
“There is a huge demand for accessible, high quality information and analysis on the UK housing market from both Government and the private sector.
“Hometrack is at the forefront of developing systems to meet this demand for better information and analysis.
“Joining Hometrack gives me the opportunity to take research in the UK housing market to the next level.”
