Darlington announces prize-draw winner

During the summer months, Darlington ran a couple of mortgage promotions designed to generate interest locally in the Societys mortgage products.

The first promotion was Recommend a Friend where existing members of the society were able to recommend their friends or family members for a Darlington mortgage and earn themselves 100 at the same time.

The second promotion was simpler. All mortgage applicants had to do was to turn up for an interview to discuss their mortgage needs and in return they were entered into a free prize draw to win a digital video camera worth approximately 1,100 or one of two runners-up prizes of digital cameras.

The draw has now taken place and the lucky winner of the digital video camera is Mark Caton of Darlington.

He says: “I am completely stunned. The mortgage I have applied for from Darlington is just what I was looking for but to win such a top quality prize at the same time is a huge bonus. I cant wait to try it out.”

Geoff Dawson, Darlington district manager at the society, adds: “Congratulations to Mark in his good fortune. Our mortgage promotions have kept us really busy this summer and as we have also had an excellent range of discounted and fixed rate mortgages we were not surprised by the number of mortgage applicants coming through our doors.

“Although the promotions have now finished, our mortgage products remain as attractive as ever. Although we cant promise applicants cameras at the moment we can promise first class mortgages, some of which have appeared as national best-buys.”
