Kensington is set to issue a series of monthly practical guides to mortgage intermediaries to better help them with regulation from January.
The scheme is just one of many outlined inititiatives to help intermediaries deal with the challenges of mortgage and general insurance regulation.
A regular e-mail news bulletin of regulatory announcements will go out and there will also be a specially developed website page to provide practical information, questions and answers, and a discussion board for brokers to share views and experiences.
It will also offer 'compliance clinics' for firms who want hands on, face-to-face help.
Keith Street, director of sales, says: “Kensington recognises that there is an increasing amount of information available to the intermediary.
However feedback shows that what a number of them really need is practical help in interpreting this information and delivering compliance procedures.
“That is not an advocation of direct authorisation over appointed representative status, merely a sign that for many, direct authorisation is only possible if a helping hand is on offer.”
