Link-up to help Scottish owners

Mortgages.co.uk has launched a deal with MoneyQuest to help home owners in Scotland to remortgage.

Enquiries on Mortgages.co.uk will be forwarded to MoneyQuest, which will contact applicants to offer advice over the phone, with home visits available for disabled owners.

A £499 conveyancing and valuation package for remortgages is planned for the service, which is also available to buy-to-let investors. The deal between the firms is part of a wider strategic partnership.

Kevin Friend, strategic partnerships director at Mortgages.co.uk, says: “We are forging ahead at a time when the market is shrinking.

“We will be working with the team at MoneyQuest and lenders to ensure that in these challenging times, products and service remain at the heart of our offering. Our joint representation will be important in ensuring that we achieve our goals.”

Friend adds: “Scotland is often wrongly regarded as a region rather than a country with its own house purchase, valuation and legal system.”

Paul Gratton, executive chairman of MoneyQuest, says: “This is a significant partnership for us.”
