Mortgage Intelligence offers L&G’s GIology to members

Mortgage Intelligence is offering its members access to Legal & General’s GIology system via its general insurance panel.

Both directly authorised members and appointed representatives will now have direct access to Legal & General’s home insurance choices buildings and contents insurance, buy-to-Let property insurance and mortgage payment protection insurance.

Legal & General’s GIology point-of-sale system enables indicative quotes for its range of general insurance products to be sourced on and offline by asking clients only a few questions and with no need for advisers to re-key the data.

Mortgage Intelligence’s insurance help desk will also be on hand to assist advisers with any queries they may have.

Sally Laker, managing director of Mortgage Intelligence, says: “General insurance is an invaluable income stream and one which advisers simply cannot afford to ignore.”

Phil Kennedy, business development director for Legal & General’s general insurance business. says: “We believe Mortgage Intelligence advisers will be amazed at just how easily and quickly an indicative quote for household cover can be obtained using GIology.

“With the current economic turmoil it has become so important for advisers to make sure their customers have all their protection needs covered, including household insurance.

“In independent research we conducted with IFAs, over 65% agreed that customers did not have adequate household insurance cover in place, yet the contents of a home can soon add up to more than people think.

“So advising customers on household insurance cover will allow Mortgage Intelligence advisers to ensure their customers’ protection needs are perhaps more fully covered, as well as providing a real business opportunity at this challenging time.”
