Bear necessities

The industry may be hard up but spare a thought for world famous bear Knut whose hard times are worst than most.

The cuddly bear is ready and willing to mate but lack of cash means the zoo he calls home is not making enough money to buy a lady-bear friend for him.

According to officials at Berlin Zoo the horny mammal, which once made the cover of Vanity Fair, is getting restless. Bosses are so sympathetic that they’re sending Knut to a new home that can give him the “facilities” he needs. And they say romance is dead.
