Salt adds GHL to packager panel

Specialist lender Salt has added the GHL Group to its premier packager panel.

GHL is one of the UKs leading mortgage networks with over 200 appointed representatives and 60 satellite packagers. It joins some of the biggest and most respected mortgage distributors in the industry who are already partners of Salt.

Salt says that more packagers will join the panel throughout a year, dramatically increasing its market share and mortgage volumes.

Tony Capon, head of retail sales at Salt, says: “In our review of the most successful packagers in the UK, GHL was identified as a partner that would fit perfectly with our proposition, product and service offering.

“We are delighted to welcome them on board and look forward to supporting their network to serve their customers.

He adds: This new appointment will grow Salts distribution and further enhance the brands growing reputation as a packager friendly lender and significant player in the sub-prime mortgage market.”

John Smith, sales and marketing director at GHL, says: GHL chose to appoint Salt to its panel because of its innovative products, flexible lending criteria.

“As a branded lender we have direct access to their underwriter who will be situated on site at our Warmington offices with a significant mandate.

“We are excited about the opportunity this new appointment provides to enable business for our distribution brokers.
