Portman appoints accounts manager

Portman has appointed Jeremy Cook as national accounts manager. Cook joins Portman and The Mortgage Works from Friends Provident where he was mortgage relationship manager, responsible for the insurer’s mortgage, general insurance and packaging propositions.


RBS rings the NatWest changes

The Royal Bank of Scotland has made changes to its NatWest range of fixed rate, tracker and variable buy-to-let mortgages. It has increased the maximum LTV across the range to 85% from 80%. This excludes the buy-to-let two-year tracker, which has a maximum LTV of 70%.

Lending in 2006 was up 20% on previous year
