The Professional Mortgage Packager’s Alliance has attacked lenders who have failed to deliver in terms of technology links at Mortgage Strategy’s Mortgage Packager’s Summit.
One sweeping rumour was that PMPA was referring to edeus – although this has been flatly denied.
O’Brien says: “Some companies have been very tight lipped concerning their dealings with packagers. If they want to work with us and help us they have to speak up. Unfortunately some are just here in Nice out of lip service, and are not helping us move forward.”
Helen Hymos, lender relationship manager at PMPA, adds: “Some lenders have spoken out and want to work with us. The Mortgage Business has been great, and at least GMAC-RFC has admitted it has been mistaken in the past concerning its dealings with packagers. More lenders need to admit they were wrong and work with us.”
Peter Charge, director of national accounts at edeus, says: “Edeus is renowned for its technology and we will be looking to develop technology solutions with our key packager partners.”
