Darce appoint Abbeys top surveyor

Yorkshire estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley, has appointed Eric Leiper as head of residential surveying department.

Formerly manager of survey operations at Abbey, Leiper was involved in many exciting projects including the development of Abbeys range of Adaptable Homes.

He also spent time in France looking at Fico Frances mortgage book, Abbeys French acquisition. More recently he oversaw the introduction of digital technology, the consolidation of administration and also the roll out of home based working.

Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacres, says: Leipers decision to join Dacre, Son & Hartley is a real coup for the firm and another major boost to our residential surveying operation, especially with the government introduction of Home Insepection Reports. We are committed to bringing the right people on board to ensure that the firm grows from strength to strength.

Leiper says: Dacre, Son & Hartley is a major force within the surveying market here in Yorkshire and I am proud to be joining such a successful team. My key aim will be to ensure Dacre, Son & Hartley is the number one provider in the residential professional surveying services market.
