Oxygen Home Loans launches into branded lending market

A branded lender has announced its launch into the UK mortgage market in partnership with Mortgages PLC. Oxygen Home Loans is a new trading division of the Leicester-based Oxygen Mortgage Group (formerly Custom Made Mortgages).

Oxygen Home Loans products will be focussed on specialist product areas such as sub-prime and self-certification. Building on the relationships already established by Custom Made Mortgages, Oxygen will work with several specialist lenders to negotiate and deliver products to meet the needs of brokers and mortgage networks. Oxygen intends to offer leading rates to borrowers and is willing to sacrifice its own fee income in order to achieve this.

David Matthews-Hillyard, managing partner of Oxygen Mortgage Group, says: “The time is right to move our business forward and with regulation just around the corner we feel our proposition is launching at the ideal time. We have always prided ourselves on providing brokers with excellent service and our launch into branded lending can only enhance our offering further still.”

Peter Beaumont, sales and marketing director of Mortgages PLC, says: “Branded lending works best for companies who have a good service proposition. The team at Oxygen are well placed to enter this sector of the market and we are delighted to be their first lender partner.”
