TOP PERFORMERS WON PRAISE

The great and the good of the industry gathered for the prestigious Mortgage Strategy Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London last Wednesday (February 16).

Woolwich Mortgages from Barc-lays scooped the Best Mortgage Lender award, pipping Coventry for Intermediaries to the post which took second place. Nationwide for Intermediaries came third.

Personality of the Year was won to James Chidgey, senior manager of corporate accounts at Nation-wide Building Society.

Precise Mortgages was named Mortgage Strategist of the Year, after gaining Financial Services Authority approval to provide regulated mortgages.

The Lifetime Achievement award went to John Malone, executive chairman of PMS.

Guests were also treated to a performance by Spellbound, winners of Britain’s Got Talent 2010.
