Trigold problem still not fixed

Trigold has come under fire again over problems with its software in accessing Lloyds TSB quotations and printing Key Facts Illustrations.

Trigold&#39s spokesman Richard Hurst told Mortgage Strategy two weeks ago there was no problem with the Lloyds TSB KFI and that the issue merely related to the way the system mapped different fields of information. He added that this had been dealt with.

But Campbell Robertson, broker at Scotland-based Campbell & Co, says that despite his highlighting the problems, nothing had been resolved.

He says: “A Trigold spokesman indicated that there was no problem with the software. This was incorrect and I still cannot access quotes for the lender. I spoke to Trigold recently and it admitted that there is a problem with a few lenders.

“Three weeks without being able to produce quotations makes me wonder if it will be able to cope with Mortgage Day.”

Trigold now insists the problem will be rectified and says that there is no need for concern.

Bill Safran, joint managing director at Trigold, says: “One reason we rolled out the system 100 days before regulation was to iron out problems such as this. I am confident that any issues will be fixed by M-Day.”
