Plum Software celebrates 10th birthday

IFA technology provider Plum Software celebrates its 10th birthday on October 25 2003.

Founded in 1993 by managing director Ann Dempster and co-director David Felix Davies, the Coventry based company now provides back office systems and support to over 1,200 IFA, mortgage and insurance broking firms, with in excess of 4,000 users.

Dempster attributes the success of Plum Software to the strong relationship developed with clients.

She says: “Plum prides itself on being part of the advisers team, and make sure from the beginning that it provides a people friendly service.”

The company says that three major initiatives over the last year have been evident of this client led development of software.

These include its Application Service Provider version of the software allowing advisers to access back office system over the Internet.

Also the simplification of the mortgage process and the launch of Plum Portal which enables the electronic updating of clients unit allocations from leading product providers.
