Legal & General Partnership Services is celebrating its second anniversary.
In two years of trading, the Partnership has distributed almost £37bn of intermediated mortgage applications to more than 300,000 cases, as principal to its appointed representative firms.
Legal & General believes the success of the Partnership can be attributed to its good relationships with lenders and ARs, and its use of a technology-based solution to recommending compliant mortgages and insurance.
2006 has also seen the company achieve a high score in its annual survey of agent satisfaction, with 77% of respondents rating the service provided by the Partnership as excellent, very good or good.
Mark Screeton, national sales director of business partnerships at Legal & General, says: “These impressive results demonstrate that the initial decisions made in establishing the network were correct.
“The extensive use of technology has proved a cost effective way to deliver to regulatory requirements and provide a valuable service to customers.”
Andrew Frankish, managing director of Mortgage Talk, adds: “Working in partnership with Legal & General means we can benefit from its best practice systems and robust presence in the marketplace.
“Legal & General offers us a highly efficient and cost effective solution.”
Legal & General believes the Partnership is ideally positioned, with strength across the housing market, and confidence it can face the challenges that Europe, MCOB and Home Information Packs will bring.
