Landlord Mortgages has launched a lettings agency for both landlords and tenants
The site, Lettingagent.com, combines high levels of service with modern, centralised technology.
Landlord Mortgages says many landlords are unhappy with the service they receive from high street letting agencies that traditionally charge up to 15% of monthly rental income to manage a property.
LettingAgent.com combines online technology with traditional property management.
It also organises minor repair work on a landlord’s behalf and assists with ensuring that the property meets all legal requirements including those relating to gas supply, HMO legislation and furnishings.
Once the tenancy draws to a close, the local appointed representative will provide support to ensure tenancies are ended smoothly.
By using lettingagent.com tenants can access a free online database that lists rental properties across the UK.
In addition, should they rent a property through the site, they will have access to an extensive range of services intended to make their tenancy as simple as possible.
These include a free centralised emergency phone number to call should problems occur and an independent appraisal of the state of a property to ensure there are no disputes over deposits when a tenancy ends.
Lee Grandin, managing director of Landlord Mortgages, says: “As specialists in the buy-to-let market, we have spoken to many tenants and landlords who have been unhappy with the service provided by traditional high street letting agents.
“We believe that a new entrant into this area of the market, who can provide people with the service levels they are looking for, is long overdue and have therefore decided to launch Lettingagent.com.
“With a simply yet effective brand like lettingagent.com, we believe that we will see a great deal of interest (and web traffic) from tenants as well as property investors.
“This is the start of a new wave of letting agents and it is long overdue.”
