BDM of the week

Judith Brandrick is our key link with the Mortgage Times Group’s head office and she’s always on hand to help out with tricky cases, says John Hodgekins

Name: Judith Brandrick

Age: 41

company: The Mortgage Times Group

Area: Midlands

NOMINATED BY: John Hodgekins, principal, Coventry & Warwickshire Mortgages

reasons for nomination: I’ve dealt with many BDMs since becoming a mortgage broker but from the first day Judith called me two and a half years ago, nothing has ever been too much trouble for her.

She has always been on hand if we have needed assistance with tricky cases, even though I realise she has a large number of brokers to attend to in her job at the Mortgage Times Group.

Judith’s knowledge of the mortgage industry is vast and she always ensures that every detail of a case is chased up and finalised.

I feel that Judith is the key link between us as a broker and MT’s head office – so much so that after two years of being directly authorised, I have decided to join MT as an appointed representative.

Although MT is now a huge organisation it still manages to provide a personal service through its BDM structure.

bdm says: Looking after brokers such as John Hodgekins makes my job a real pleasure.

Seeing a broker’s practice develop and grow and knowing that I’ve helped in that process gives me a buzz.

Working for MT as a BDM is a hard job but it is rewarding. I have seen the company grow immensely over the course of my tenure and I’m keen to be an integral part of its further success.

Have you got a BDM that has impressed you? Please send nominations to christine.toner@centaur.co.uk

Pensions: trouble ahead?

The pace of change in the pension’s space has been little short of astonishing, and has left thousands of employers struggling to keep their pension policy compliant, and also on the right side of current best practice and governance. Many employers, and indeed many in the pensions industry itself, would like to see a period of no change during the next term of government. This would give all sides a chance to catch up and draw breath.
