Nick Baxter joins Rockstead

Nick Baxter, director at Mortgage Promotions, has joined Brian Pitt’s venture Rockstead as a non-executive director.

Rockstead offers audit services to mortgage book owners, buyers and sellers. Pitt, formerly sales and marketing director at Future Mortgages and director at Beacon Homeloans, founded the company in July 2008 along with Richard Gater, a former risk manager.

David Botting, former managing director of operations at GMAC-RFC, has also been appointed as a non-executive director.

Pitt also owns Brian Pitt Consulting but wanted to launch Rockstead as he felt there would be strong demand for audit services.

He said: “We have recently built our own IT system and this has helped us attract high quality professionals such as Nick and David.”

Pitt says Rockstead is seeing demand from lenders and valuers wanting to check the mortgage process when properties were repossessed and one of the parties involved lost money.

Rockstead also offers verifictaion services for third party suppliers, debt counselors, litigation solicitors and asset managers.
