Never mind advice and deals, sample the doggy biscuits

With regard to the fanfare that followed the launch of Metro Bank last week, I’m sorry to be sceptical but I wonder if UK consumers are gullible enough to not worry about getting the best advice and deals that are available to them.

Will they simply be blinded by Sunday opening and the free doggy biscuits on offer? And by the way, will Metro Bank have qualified mortgage advisers in every branch? I’m guessing not.

Still, pooches will be happy.
