BUDGET 2007: Brown promises Stamp Duty break on zero-carbon homes up to 500K

The chancellor has set out plans to allow Stamp Duty exemptions to all zero carbon-emitting homes worth up to 500,000.

Gordon Brown has also revealed that the government are in talks with other European nations to begin measures that would see the VAT on all green home improvement products to be eventually reduced from 17.5% to 5%.
