Mortgages PLC strengthens sales force

Mortgages PLC has appointed two new area managers.

Simon Cossons and Keith Johnston will manage key broker and packager relationships in the South.

After working as a self-employed mortgage broker for a year, Johnston has joined Mortgages PLC as area manager to cover the south west corridor including Gloucester, Dorset and parts of South Wales. In total he has over 12 years experience in the finance industry working as a broker but also working for general insurance provider Select and Protect and network TMO.

Cossoms, who has over 17 years experience in the finance industry, will cover the south east including Essex, Kent and the Medway area. Prior to joining Mortgages PLC he worked as a broker consultant for Scottish Life for five years and before that for National Counties Building Society in the role of business development manager for mortgages.

Peter Beaumont, director of sales and marketing, says: “With an increasing distribution base and the challenges that are faced by brokers and packagers alike over the coming months it is important for us to be helping our customers at a face to face level. I am looking to grow the sales force over the next 12 months to reflect the increased demand for Mortgages PLC&#39s services and products.”
