Adviser.tech (www.advisertech.co.uk), the technology events dedicated to financial advisers, has just confirmed three regional events for 2003. This follows a very successful launch year for the new adviser-focused events, sponsored by Microsoft and Origo.
The events will be held in London, Mezzanine BDC, February 6; Manchester, Windsor Hall G-Mex, March 4, and Midlands, Pavilion NEC, December 9.
Following the launch event of adviser.tech, held in Manchester in April 2002, two further events have been held this year (London and Scotland), with the final one taking place at Birmingham NEC on December 10. To date, over 1500 financial advisers have attended the events, which have been supported by over 30 major life offices, technology companies, portals and fund-supermarkets.
Nicola Mitchell, event director of adviser.tech, says: “Launching an entirely new type of event always carries risk, and with so many pressures on the financial industry in the past months, we knew a great deal of hard work would be needed to guarantee a successful event program. The commitment of so many major exhibitors and sponsors has played an invaluable part in our success, but it is clear by the attendance and enthusiastic feedback of adviser delegates, that adviser.tech has really filled a big gap and is providing the industry with an invaluable forum for technology debate and education. Next year, we have already secured three events and are hoping to expand this number, with some new venues. We anticipate much hard work ahead, but look forward to an even more successful program of events in 2003.”
All UK-based financial advisers and intermediary firms, and their staff, will be eligible to attend the events, which are being provided to them entirely free of charge.
