Equifax sponsors UK Identity Fraud Summit

Equifax, a leading provider of fraud prevention solutions, is sponsoring the UK Identity Fraud Summit 2005 together with Business Forums International.

The Summit brings together the key players in fraud prevention to present their expertise and experience to the business community.

Michael Shannon, managing director of Equifax, says: “ID Fraud has been identified as the fastest-growing crime of the 21st century. Costing industry 13bn worldwide, it presents a very real threat to all organisations, making the UK ID Fraud Summit an essential event for any key decision-maker keen to protect their organisation.”

Experts from the Metropolitan Police, APACS and the Home Office will be speaking at the Summit, highlighting the latest ID fraud initiatives, plus providing an up-to-the-minute overview of the growing threat of identity fraud.

The latest market information, regulatory issues, policies and technology solutions will also be presented and delegates will have the opportunity to find out about best practices for responding to individual incidents of fraud.

Key speakers include Bruce Hansen, chairman and CEO of ID Analytics, Inc, Andy Burnham MP, parliamentary under secretary of state at the Home Office and DCI Stuart Dark of the Metropolitan Police.

The Summit will also feature a key address from Sue Woods, head of ID services for Equifax who will examine the solutions and tools in mitigating fraud risk.
