DIGGING THE DIRT IN THE MORTGAGE WORLD…
PEDAL POWER Mole would like to wish Private Finance managing director Simon Checkley best of luck as he does a charity bike ride this week. On Wednesday Checkley will embark on a gruelling 106 mile ride to all Jackson-Stops & Staff estate agency branches across the UK to mark the centenary of the brand.
Cyclists will set off individually from London’s Berkeley Square on 10 separate routes covering over 1,500 miles in total, visiting all 40 of the firm’s offices in the process .
The team is raising money for Help for Heroes and Nordorff Robbins, the music therapy charity.
“We have been training hard and just hope the weather holds,” an exhausted Checkley told Mole.
If you would like to sponsor the team you can do so by visiting www.jsscycle. org.uk. Good luck, Simon.
MATCH POINT Organising a conference can be a tricky business. Getting the delegates together at the same time and ensuring things run
smoothly is tough enough, but it’s worse when your conference is at the same time as one of the biggest sporting events on the planet.
The NACFB Commercial Finance Expo at the NEC in Birmingham is doing just that, as it takes places slap bang in the middle of the World Cup. But conscientious chief executive Adam Tyler has ensured this won’t cause problems. In his latest release about the conference he adds – “Please note that the date does not clash with any World Cup games – I checked before I booked”.
