Hannant, who was most recently policy director at the British Chambers of Commerce, will be responsible for developing policy at the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries and Association of Finance Brokers. He replaces Andrew Strange, who left in August 2011.

Stephen Gay, director-general of AIFA, says: “Hannant has extensive policy experience of working in and with the government and financial services regulators. This will be essential to help us represent the interests of our members.”
