MS is the top mortgage trade title

Mortgage Strategy scooped the runner-up spot at last week’s Bradford & Bingley Media Awards 2005, in the best personal finance trade publication of the year category.

The awards are highly respected among financial journalists and renowned as the industry Oscars. On the night just four trade publications made the shortlist. Alongside your number one Mortgage Strategy, the shortlist included Investment Week, Financial Adviser and Money Marketing. First place went to Investment Week while Mortgage Strategy scooped the runner-up prize – leaving Financial Adviser and Money Marketing trailing.

Isabelle Kassam, former personal finance editor of The Sun newspaper and who was named national finance journalist of the year, says: “Mortgage Strategy should be congratulated on its achievement as the competition for these awards gets stronger every year. I understand there were a record number of entries and that the judges had a tough time making their decisions. Mortgage Strategy should be particularly proud considering the strength of its rivals.
