Buildloan reports record business via intermediaries

Buildloan. the intermediary division of Buildstore, has seen record business via its intermediary channel.

Eddie Smith, head of mortgage distribution at Buildloan, says: “While self build is still seen as a specialist or niche area by many mortgage advisers the market will be worth in excess of 3bn this year. We expect to see another record year, via the introduced channel as more and more people realise that, with a one-stop -shop like Buildstore we can provide all the technical help as well as advance funding (up to 95% for land and build stages) leaving the adviser free to look after the clients financial needs.”

Over the past few months Buildloan has been registering brokers who have asked to know more about the opportunities SelfBuild offers. In response, Buildloan is holding a series of free breakfast seminars, throughout the UK with the first being held in Bathgate Scotland on November 28 2005.

Smith adds: “If any mortgage advisers would like to attend these seminars then we would be delighted to welcome them and talk through the opportunities, mortgage products and technical help we can provide.”
