Mark Chilton, the founder of Savills Private Finance, has unveiled the brand name of the national mortgage broker he is to launch later this year – Purely Mortgages
The company is aiming to take a significant share of the UK mortgage market within five years.
Chief executive Chilton says he has assembled a director team with unrivalled experience in the mortgage market to set up and manage Purely Mortgages. The team comprises Ian Giles, ex-Mortgage Trust and First Active, Colin Bell, ex-Charcol, and Neil Pritchard, ex-Savills, who will cover the areas of marketing, sales and operations and IT respectively.
Chilton says Purely Mortgages will be focussed on the growing number of customers wanting low-cost and professional solutions to their mortgage needs. He adds it will offer a fees-free service with rapid decision-making based on a simple product proposition and sophisticated technology systems.
Chilton says: “Ian, Colin, Neil and I are all extremely excited by the prospect of setting up a large scale national mortgage broker from scratch as it gives us the opportunity to introduce best practices in sales and advice processes, technology and compliance right from the start, resulting in a transparent, low-cost, high-quality operation.
“The market is changing significantly this year and we believe our model will be a winner in this environment. We are currently talking to lenders, regulators, suppliers and partners about launching later this year and getting a great reception for our new approach. We have spent two years planning this venture and are counting on that careful preparation paying off as we enter the market.”
